Three Points Press

Three Points Press built a shared artspace, gallery and print shop in Berkeley, CA for the community to explore their creativity.

Born out of necessity as a place to screen print and without the resources to afford rising rents in the Bay Area, Three Points was a shared work space for creatives. I transformed a forgotten retail space into a fully-functioning co-op studio for artists, designers, and printers with a storefront gallery to display and sell their work. Complete with a dark room, drying racks, flat files, and shelves full of inks, it was a place to come collaborate, share ideas, and be less alone during the midnight hours while finishing work for a show.

Three Points Press opened it’s doors to the community on weeknights to hold creative workshops, Drink+Draw gatherings, Thought Lounge conversations, and experimental musicians. During weekend events or gallery openings, we would set up the press to allow people a chance to learn about screen printing, and pull a few squeegees to make their own posters or t-shirts. This dynamic space served as a safe landing for all to explore their own unique creative talents; it proved we are all artists at heart.
